If your little one naps in a nature-themed nursery, and you’re there to cuddle them, do they make a sound? Likely not, because they’re sleeping soundly in their incredibly comfy room. Inspire a life of exploration with a woodland theme that can carry across bedding, wall art, and toys.

A great piece of advice from our partners at The Land of Nod is that designing a nursery can often start with the baby quilt. It can be the piece that ties everything together, or the jumping off point to find your theme. This nursery starts with the adorable sheep quilt, then uses that piece to inform texture and color throughout the room.

Delicate and Comfortable
Here’s a great example of how a girls room doesn’t need to be “girly.” The mix of colors and textures is really playful, while still being subtle and elegant. Everything looks cozy and soft to the touch. A cute, visually stimulating nursery doesn’t need to be showy.

If you’re looking for the opposite of the last nursery, this one is probably it. This design uses soft pastels as a base to bring out huge pops of color throughout the room. Note how each brightly colored item is set against a solid. Not everything needs to be an accent piece.
