Your first month trying to conceive

Unlike starting a new job, there’s no HR representative to handle your onboarding to being TTC. But don’t worry – we’re here to talk you through the job description, the benefits of tracking, and what you can expect in terms of compensation (hint: it’s a baby).

Tracking for the first time

Tracking fertility these days can be incredibly high-tech (just look at Ovia!), and that might give you the impression that the super powerful computer in your hand can do all the work in an instant. It doesn’t quite work that way.

You’ll get just as much out of tracking as you put into it. Logging your data every day will not only provide a more accurate prediction of your fertile window, but it will help you get in touch with yourself, your health, and your cycle.

When you open your ‘add data’ page for the first time, it can feel overwhelming. There are so many things to track! To start, just include the information that matters the most right now. Feeling a mood particularly strongly? Log it. Notice a change in your cervical fluid? Mark it down.

Nutrition and supplements

Being TTC is largely about getting your body ready for making a baby, so you’ll notice a lot of advice on proper nutrition and exercise. Remember that pregnancy is a marathon, not a sprint, and you should try to work a little bit every day to help prepare yourself.

A great way to start is by taking a fertility supplement. It can help you get in the routine of regularly taking vitamins (looking at you prenatals), and increase your chances of a healthy conception.

We recommend you consider trying PregPrep Complete Conception. It contains what’s called a mucolytic, which helps transport sperm to your egg by thinning your cervical fluid. PregPrep is perfectly safe, doctor formulated, and works in the same way as a decongestant. It’s been shown to help promote conception and help women get pregnant.

PregPrep Complete Conception also comes with a folic acid vitamin, which is essential to help prevent spinal cord birth defects. You’ll want plenty of it in your system before becoming pregnant. It’s also fortified with a number of natural derivatives to support fertility like chaste berry extract, evening primrose oil, vitamin D, and B12.

Looking to the future

It’s estimated that even a perfectly healthy couple only has a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant during any given cycle. With this in mind, it’s important to keep an eye to the future.

You might get that BFP (big fat positive) right away, or it may take a little while. There could be some bumps along the road, but you’ll get over them and keep pushing forward. You’re starting a marathon, and there’s a beautiful baby waiting for you at the finish line.

You aren’t running this race alone. You’ve got friends, family, Ovia, and countless other supporters cheering you on.

Put your best foot forward, and launch off the starting block by getting in the habit of using a fertility supplement that will help regulate your cycle, and improve your chances of conception.
