In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of assisted reproductive technology (ART) that involves fertilizing an egg outside of the body before it is transferred into the uterus. IVF is the most effective form of ART, as it helps address and overcome any number of different fertility issues. Because of the resources required, IVF is also the most expensive fertility treatment.
