Protruding navel when pregnant

A protruding navel is when your “innie” turns into an “outie” – in other words, when your belly button sticks out of your stomach. It’s extremely common in pregnant women.

What causes it?

As Baby grows, so does your uterus. And as your uterus grows, it pushes your abdominal organs out of its way. This results in your belly button sticking farther out than usual as your stomach and other organs press your innie outwards.

Tips?

There’s nothing you can do to treat a protruding navel, except for giving birth. Rest assured, it will be back to normal within a few months of delivery.
