Best Furniture Brand: Graco
I own two Graco cribs and a Graco pack n’ play. They are reasonably priced, look great and hold up very well!”
Perhaps the hardest thing about decorating a nursery is knowing that you’re furnishing an entire room with pieces you’ll only use for so long. That’s why Ovia moms love Graco!
When you’re buying new nursery furniture, you either want items you can use in your entire house (like a really versatile rocking chair), items that grow with your child (like a convertible crib), or items with price tags low enough that you won’t feel bad getting rid of it after a couple of years. Best Crib: Delta
Absolutely love Delta. Our daughter’s crib was inexpensive yet still beautiful, converts into a toddler bed, and has multiple levels.”
A crib is a nursery essential. It’s the safest place for a baby to sleep and, if you’re designing your nursery around a particular look, it’s the first piece you should get.
If this is your first crib, you should consider whether you’ll need to use it again! If so, you’ll want something that looks timeless, is sturdy, and that will continue to meet safety standards (even if they increase over the next few years). In that case, our Ovia Family Award winner Delta might be the brand for you.

A changing table might just be the messiest place in your whole home. You need one that is safe, sturdy, and keeps everything you need for a quick change right at your fingertips. Graco changing tables have a timeless design and come in simple color palettes that fit easily into any space.

Best Changing Pad: Keekaroo
So wonderful, lightweight, and easy to clean. You can move it from room to room as needed. It is large enough to prevent messes from spreading and can be simply wiped down to clean.”
Okay, we have a confession to make. We didn’t actually have a “changing pad” category in this years awards. And yet, here we are.
The Keekaroo had so many write-ins from parents that have used it, love it, and that they’d absolutely recommend it to their friends and family, that we had to give Keekaroo an award.
“This is the product I recommend to my mom friends above all other products. Keekaroo is my favorite.”
It’s all about practical convenience. The Keekaroo is quick to clean, easy to transport, and does the noble job of keeping the mess under control. It’s everything you could want in a changing solution as moms who have used it will happily tell you.
“This thing is amazing. My son has had several accidents on this thing (including going #2 on several occasions) and you can just clean it up in a few seconds without having to do extra laundry.”
“The material that it is made out of is great!! Really soft AND really easy to clean. The raised edge gives your child a boundary which is especially useful when he/she gets old enough to start rolling away during diaper changes!! :)”
One thing to be aware of is that it’s not a traditional size.

Best Rocking Chair: DaVinci
I live in our rocker, it saves my back during middle of the night feedings and rocks my little one right back to sleep. I love how quiet it is and how easy it is to get up smoothly without waking him.”
These days if you’re buying a “rocker,” what you’re probably actually buying is a “glider.” Rather than creaking up and down on curved legs, a glider allows you are your and baby to gently sway in a smooth, typically noiseless forward and back motion.
Gliders also have the benefit of looking like regular chairs. They’re more likely to match your other furniture, and you don’t need as much clearance behind them to get some baby-soothing motion going.

If you can, try to give the rocker/glider that you’re buying a test sit. Make sure that when you lean back your head and neck are supported, and that you’re sure you could comfortably sit in it for long stretches of time.
