Ovia Talks kicks off new Ask Me Anything series

Ovia Talks returns with the launch of an Ask Me Anything (AMA) series, where women bring the questions they want to ask, and we bring the clarity. No shame, judgment, or jargon.

This episode dives into periods, reproductive health, and sexual wellness in a way that is simple, relatable, and finally makes sense. Ovia Care Team coaches — Lilly Schott, RNC, MSN, IBCLC, and Dawn Moore, CNM, WHNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, MSN — break down what’s normal, what’s concerning, and why women’s bodies can feel totally different from week to week.

They cover:

  • Bleeding and pain patterns that deserve a second look — what’s typical, what isn’t, and early warning signs.
  • Why mood, libido, digestion, and headaches shift throughout the month — connecting symptoms many women experience but rarely link back to their cycle.
  • How hormones influence energy, focus, and overall wellbeing — and why some days everything clicks while others feel like a slog.
  • Rapid-fire answers to the questions members quietly Google at 2 a.m. — from cycle irregularities to cervical mucus to “is this symptom normal?”

Our AMA gives women a framework for understanding their bodies in a way the healthcare system often doesn’t. With clear, evidence-based information, women are better equipped to spot early signs of concern, seek guidance sooner, and avoid preventable complications.

Why an Ask Me Anything series matters for organizations

Menstrual, reproductive, and sexual health symptoms often go unaddressed. Not because women ignore them, but because they’re still stigmatized. Trustworthy, empathetic guidance isn’t always accessible.

Conversations like this AMA help reduce stigma. Normalizing these experiences could make it easier for women to advocate for their health and pursue timely care. When women feel supported, organizations can see measurable impact:

  • Higher productivity and focus
  • Earlier intervention and lower downstream medical costs
  • Stronger engagement in preventive and routine care
  • Greater satisfaction with benefits and workplace support

What’s next for Ovia Talks?

Ask Me Anything will return in March.

For January, NextGen Jane CEO Ridhi Tariyal joins us to explore how menstrual blood is unlocking a new frontier in women’s health. By decoding genomic signatures, NextGen Jane is identifying molecular patterns tied to conditions like endometriosis, paving the way for faster diagnosis, more precise treatment, and less time spent searching for answers.
