In Episode 2, Ovia health coaches Elaine Bishop, a certified menopause practitioner, and Lisa Richards return to break down:

  • Common symptoms and their timing
  • What drives the hormonal changes
  • Hormonal and non-hormonal management options
  • How symptoms affect daily life, work, confidence, and overall well-being

Why it matters for organizations

Perimenopause and menopause can significantly impact workplace productivity. A large study found that 13% of women reported at least one adverse work outcome (such as reduced performance or absenteeism) directly related to menopause symptoms.¹

When symptoms go unaddressed, the consequences can escalate. Nearly 1 in 10 women say they’ve quit their job due to menopausal symptoms.² Organizations may be losing high-performing employees, including both emerging and established leaders.

Many women navigate these changes without adequate support. Ovia is changing that. By providing accessible, evidence-based education, we empower women to seek support earlier while helping organizations foster a healthier, more engaged workforce. Supporting women through this transition isn’t just a health initiative — it’s a talent retention strategy.

Looking ahead

Women’s health is a conversation we all need to have. Ovia Talks is one way Ovia Health by Labcorp meets women where they are, offering practical knowledge and strategies for real-world impact.
